Generator Set Accessories
Franconi Power Systems is able to equip its Generator Sets with all those accessories relating to engines, alternators, mechanical construction and electrical panels that it deems necessary for the correct installation and correct functioning of the machine. Among other things:
Engine Cooling Systems
- like the standard type (fan, radiator, thermostat and circulation pump) but sized to cope with specific climates such as tropical climates
- with water/water heat exchanger, for pass through freshwater
- with water/water heat exchanger with heat recovery (in this case exchangers can also be installed in the exhaust and lubrication systems)
- with water/water heat exchangers for seawater
- with electric radiator separate from the genset
- with special radiators protected against dust and sand
- with radiator filler tank
- with delivery of air into and/or out of the cooling system
- with additional instrumentation for controlling temperature, level and capacity
Engine Lubrication System
- with an additional oil reservoir and automatic refilling of the sump, for generator sets operating in extreme conditions
- with a heater for preheating the oil
- with a pre-lubrication pump
- with additional instrumentation for controlling temperature, pressure and level
Air Filtering System
- with dry or oil air filter as an alternative to the standard
- with a filter clogging indicator
- with accessories for installing the filter away from the engine
- with pre-heating of the start up air
Electronically Controlled Isochronous Speed Governor
- where not provided by the engine manufacturer
- with or without a device for fine adjustment of the speed
High Attenuation Exhaust Gas Silencers
- with increased capacity service tank
- with the service tank separated from the generator set for wall or floor mounting
- with a system for manual and/or automatic loading of fuel from an external reserve tank
- with a cold-start device
Alternator
- with a low harmonic content waveform
- with low voltage drop in the transients at 60 and 400 Hz
- for operation under unusual environmental conditions
- for operation with unbalanced loads
- for operation with non-linear loads
- for operation with high inrush currents
- for high short-circuit current
- with rheostat for remote fine adjustment
- with device for running in parallel with other alternators or with the grid
- with device for manual excitation
- with class “N” or “K” radio interference filters
- with heat detectors in cables and/or in the bearings

- with closed loop self-ventilation and external heat exchanger
Electric Command and Control Panel
- for installation on board the machine or in a separate cabinet for wall or floor mounted installation
